Bigscreen has dozens of new 2D/3D movies, and more Accessibility/Closed Captions improvements

Looking for more movies to watch with others in a virtual theater? We got you!

Together with our ongoing partnership with Paramount Pictures, over 30+ more movies you love have been added into Bigscreen! We’ve also added improvements to accessibility to help with the deaf and hard of hearing community!

From legendary classics like the Godfather trilogy (movie event will premiere this Friday) to all six of the action-packed Mission: Impossible series, you can now rent your favorite movies in VR and watch with your friends and family across the country and various parts of the world!

We know we have some loyal Trekkies in our community - now you and your crew can watch all 13 Star Trek feature films in HD quality, and two of the latest ones in 3D!

Hoping for more fun movies to laugh your heart out? You can now watch Johnny Knoxville and his band of maniacs perform a variety of stunts and gags on our big screen starting from Jackass: The Movie and all the way to Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.

Also, Jackass 3 is in 3D and it is our first 3D movie to premiere in the United Kingdom!

We now have over a dozen 3D movies and over 100+ movies in our catalog, and we’ll continue to add more!

Each movie starts at $3.99 and varies per movie and per country. Not all movies are available in all countries. You will have up to 48 hours to finish watching the movie and each person will need to purchase their own movie ticket in order to watch the movie with you.

For the deaf and hard of hearing community, English Closed Captions are now available. You can start renting and watching these movies now. You may find these closed captioning files under Subtitles > English [CC] in the Bigscreen menu.

We’re also working on improvements to hand tracking in order to empower people to communicate in VR in American Sign Language (ASL)! Here’s a preview of some experiments we’ve done with ASL and VR:

Bigscreen supports all major PC VR headsets and mobile/standalone VR headsets. You can download Bigscreen Beta for free from the Oculus Store (PC, Quest) or Steam.
