Paramount Pictures and film director Ava DuVernay have made her powerful film “Selma” available for free on the Bigscreen platform. “Selma” is a deeply impactful piece. The film was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards in 2014 and tells the story of how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led the three month charge from from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965 to secure equal voting rights for all Black Americans.
Bigscreen will be hosting a live movie screening of Selma on June 13th 4PM Pacific (7PM Eastern), free for audiences in the United States. This is a live, social experience – a unique way for VR users to watch a thought-provoking film with people around the country.
